General Q: eAppointment

Post by IndianPR » Fri, 05 Jul 2013 12:03 pm

Gurus,

My friend tried to book e-appointment for PR, and the earliest available slot as of today is 27th Nov 2013 (almost after 5 months).

Curious and checked the number of applications ICA receive per year via e-appointment.
There are only 36 slots available per day and approx 720 applications per month (based on 20 working days) and 8640 applications per year.

Wondering is there any other way to book appointment, as number of applications receive should be more than that.

Kindly bare me if the question seems silly.

Thanks!

What's the rush, dude? If you're applying for permanent residency, you would be here for long. Surely you can wait for the date, can't you? :P

To answer your question, no.

You made a wrong assumption that only 1 person is served per slot. When I went to ICA, I could see 100s of people being served concurrently. You will never be able to tell, how many people are allowed to book a particular slot, in the system.

Ask your friend to book an available slot and after that keep checking on a daily basis. Whenever someone cancels an appointment, that slot becomes free and your friend can change to that slot.

lynx /SMS > Nps, we can wait till the slot opens. This is the first time i notice, the queue is so long (usually we get appointment within 2-3 months). May be this the time 2008 PR's re-apply. :)

Wd40 > Yes my assumption was wrong, may be twice / thirce of 8640 appl :o
