Dependant visa paperwork question

Selective requests? Similar as they have done for some cases asking for detailed family listings? I know not all are getting asked to submit that stuff, but we've seen lots of cases on here where they have been requested to supply it at some point in the processing of an application. Some of those have been ultimately rejected while others have been granted. Don't have a clue as to what is the trigger point in the application. One can only guess.
