Northern lass here starved of British humour and hoping to meet some fellow Brits to hangout with.
Been in a Singers a while but many of my friends are moving on or settling down.
I like to think I still have some party in me!

Well, kind of a northern (ish) lad here. But if i told you which part of the north, you might go and hide everything in case i went and nicked em

Been out in sg for a month now and always happy to meet new people. Give me a shout if you want.

Hey Y'all. So I (32f) lived in Leeds for a year so I understand a yorkshire accent well, and as a Canadian the queen is still my head of state, does that make me British enough?

You sound like a nice bunch.

I'm a southerner, I hope that doesn't count against me. I've been in Sing for just over a year, it would be good to meet new people.

Right. So there's been a few posts here and seems people are up for meeting up, but that's about as far as it's gone.......all talk and no action.
So, how about getting together say Friday 23rd for a bit of food and drink?

Just go to Saint's Juban Stand for FNDC this Fri...that one's not all talk and no action.
I'd better get free drinks for this, Saint...

My thread...
The Weekenders If you need my e-mail address, it's in the first post of the thread.

Oh, that's the norm for this forum... A lot of posts on the lines of "Let me know the next time you plan [insert outing here]" but few people actually i) organise or ii) show up.
There's just a handful of people who go out of their way to organise things -- Poc4hontas, Akimbo etc -- and a small minority who actually show up events. Most seem content to sit behind their keyboards and talk about their hopes and dreams instead of actually doing anything.

Last time i tried to go to one of these, i couldn't find the group and the bar staff had no idea who they were. Actually, it was the only time i went and have tried going again.

I can assure you the staff won't mess up this Friday. Saint will make sure of that!
Normally that there-is-no-such-thing-as-FNDC-tonight fiasco is because the waiters/waitresses are not informed by their supervisors and managers about the group. Sometimes Waitress A will say "Don't know" and then you ask Waiter B few minutes later and he promptly ushers you to the FNDC table. This happens.
