What struck me was just going out, to the station or shops. And just walking about up a back street and in place of a single small cobble would be a brass inset 'cobble' about 2.5*2.5"....
which might read something like:

Were taken Martin Schultz 30,
his wife Sofia 25, and children
Jan 9, and Katrina 3
To Auschwitz, where they all perished
25 November 1942'
These are all over Berlin studded in the pavements, maybe 10-20 on a short street, thousands of them, from in front of where these people were dragged. If you have a moment to stop and breath/think, and read them, it's really heavy man. Sometimes it's too much... like you can never get away from the cloud, even if it isn't yours.
