Reapplied PR for the 2nd time for my spouse

Post by dhijho » Fri, 21 Jun 2013 6:27 pm

Experts,

Im Indian (PR) working as IT consultant in singapore for 8+ years,Married in 2009,
1. > Applied PR with my wife in Oct-2009 and got approved in May'2010
2. > My wife could not collect as she was in india for her first delivery (8th month) (custom & for parental care). Could not fly back to singapore within the extended period of 2 months.
4. > We went ICA after 15 days of the extended date(provided her medical history and child's birth certif). and they have asked us to re-apply
5. > Reapplied for the 01st time and got rejected after 12 months.
6. > Re-applied for the 2nd time on Dec 28th 2012 (i.e after 7 months of rejection) & status is 'pending'.
My Sal: 7.5K
My wife: Holding master's degree (MCA) and my daughter is 3 years now and going school.

What are my wife's & daughter's chances of getting PR?
Not sure whether ICA thinks we are irresponsible for not collecting the PR for the first time? Really not. :(
Have to blame only our bad luck (we got the approval letter just after a week my wife flew to india during her 8th month & could not return back wihtin 2 months). Our utmost desire to settle in singapore leading a happy and peaceful life.

Thanks!

When you applied in 2009, PRs were being given out to almost anybody who had 2 legs and 2 hands and thats why you got the PR.

After that they became strict. This may have nothing to do with them thinking you are irresponsible or anything. As you said its your luck(or bad luck)

If you have been already rejected, take that it into your stride and forget Singapore. Look for another country.

If you had contacted ICA with the medical record WITHIN the two months period, you would have had no problem! (They are usually very reasonable and a solution would have been found.)

Yes i had approached ICA with medicala certificates during my PR collection, and they had given extension for 2 months. Unfortunately she could not travel within the extended period.
