pasarbella

As I usually seem to whinge about various things on this board, just wanted to give a shout out to Pasarbella market at Turf City. It is not **really a farmer's market by any stretch of the imagination but it is a great place. So nice to see some young entrepreneurs giving it a go in Singapore - and with good ideas and quality products. I had some great sushi, tried some lovely cheese, had a few sips at the wine tasting, and heard some nice music. All in all and unexpectedly enjoyable Sunday in Singapore.

Check it out!

Agree, it looks like a potentially nice place but at least for weekends the impossible crowd makes it hardly enjoyable experience.

Which is why I've avoided it. I can't imagine something like that in Singapore not being a human stampede.

Ah it's OK. Just go before 11am or so - locals don't come out till later in the day. :)

Gah Turf City, would love to go there but it is so hard to get there without having to use personal transport or cab.

Not really that bad, but well, it's pretty much expensive. Hard to say that I'll be back to that place.

Let's be fair, it's not expensive for its target market and people living in the neighbourhood..... Swiss Club Road, Binjai Park, Jambu, 6th Avenue, Namly etc. Throw a net over that area and you'll grab yourself quite a few Ministers and Temasek CEOs.

For normal human beings, it is a little difficult to justify but then, on the other hand it also has a good sized Giant and free parking =D>
