Hi, I have about 6-7 boxes maybe 15-20 pounds each to send to San Francisco, and haven't found an inexpensive way of doing so.. it looks like the post office and any other carrier I can think of wants $200-$400 PER BOX. Since I don't care how long it takes for the boxes to arrive I would have thought that a cheaper, sea mail option would exist?
Anyone have any suggestions? Would it be practical go ask moving companies if it might be possible to put them in a shared container? Or would this likely be more than the $1000+ I am currently looking at?
Thank you!
PS we found a M-Rate quoted on the post office website, but it seems like this is only for books and media - we are shipping mainly used clothing.

You won't find anything cheaper than Singpost.
There, a 10kg surface mail parcel to USA is S$150 (US$120), see speedpost.com.sg.

Look into easyparcel. They offer rate comparison so you will be able to find a pretty good deal there. For individual couriers I tend to just use DHL...
