Optical design engineer

Post by ProTerran » Sun, 02 Jun 2013 6:06 pm

Hello,
I was searching online for a job in the area of optical engineering and I wonder whether an optical engineer (MSc degree) with 2 years of experience (and couple documented successful projects) in designing optical system in the field of defense industry has a real chance of finding/securing a job while still being aboard. Does chances of finding a job significantly increases when a person is actually in the country (of course regarding high skilled engineering jobs)?

I live currently in Europe, and I'd like to relocate to Singapore for a couple years. The idea of moving to Singapore without having a job seems to me too risky.

Best regards.

Have you approached ST Engineering? They would probably be the best chance here with your niche area.

You could also try the government as well:
