New prescription glasses

Hi all,

I need to get some new prescription glasses. My last pair were bought in London. Does anyone know if they are generally cheaper or more expensive in Singapore compared to the UK? I will be in the UK over the summer so I could get them in either place.
I use varifocals with quite a high prescription so my glasses are normally pretty expensive.
If Singapore is the place to buy them, can anyone recommend a good optician?

pretty expensive here .. Unless you want avoid the frills of high-index, scratch resistance etc ..

Just walk into any Optical shop and get a quote and compare
