Not sure if this is the best place to post this but no other forums/sub-forums seemed to fit the bill.....
Anyone know where I can buy chickpeas....I live in Jurong and haven't seen them anywhere. Seeing as the Middle Eastern restaurants serve hummus etc you must be able to get them somewhere.
Don't mind if they are tinned or raw.
Thanks
A new arrival to Singapore.

I see them all the time in grocery stores around here, including Fair Price and Cold Storage. I've seen the dried and canned ones. Seeing as how they're really popular in India, I would try some Indian shops if you really can't find them in a traditional grocery.

Dried: Coldstorage, green and yellow, practically always, Red Mill brand.
Canned: the same but from time to time only.

Yupp! ChickPeas or "Channa" as it is called in India can be found in Mustafa or Indian grocery stores.
In Fairprice, I have seen the Green Gram or "moong" but I doubt seeing any chickpeas.
In India we consume a lot of these pulses compared to the rest of the world as they are the primary source of protein for us as most of Indians are vegetarians and even those who eat meat are not as hardcore as the rest of the world

Sometimes you'll see them labelled up as garbanzo beans.
