Eurovision Political Nonsense ...........

Apparently the Germans were "punished" with low scores due to the austerity they are demanding of the Eurozone!!
Life is short, paddle harder!!

And not because their entry was rubbish?

I think Eurovision is a complete waste of time and money. It's been political for years.

The only good thing ever to come out of it was Abba. And even that's debatable.

And Terry Wogan's commentary. Worth watching for that alone :-)

Oh God! Terry Wogan. Can't stand the smug Irish git.

Used to commute by car and listen to Sarah Kennedy. If the Blackwall was blocked (often) and my commute over ran I would catch some of Wogan. What a terrible start to any day.

Blackwall tunnel and Wogan, I have sympathy for you.

Fortunately I lived in East London and travelled up the M11 to work. Never had much grief with traffic and had Heart 1017 FM for company :-)

I moved from car to motor bike. I blame Wogan. Never looked back.

Dunmow, The Hadhams, Bishops Stortford, Elsenham, Stansted, Newport, Audley End, Saffron Walden, Cambridge...

I've rather fond memories of that road and area!

UK has some really nice bits. I used to drive my 2CV from Sheerness to London at dawn. The surroundings always were a sight for sore eyes, especially in winter, on a cloudless day.

Wow really, I lived in Bishops Stortford for 20 years and worked in Cambridge for longer than that. My brother still lives in the village of Farnham just outside Stortford.

The M11 corridor was my life before moving here.

Small world. As a student during the summer one year, I worked as a builders labourer, and most of the summer was spent on renovating the proprietors own tudor pile that I'm pretty sure was in Farnham (we lived in the Hadhams about 3 odd miles away).

And tying in with Max Headroom, I used to cruise around the above area in a 2CV (top-down, but not in winter! :)). Such winding roads I had to be careful or back seat passengers turned almost as green as the cars paintwork!
