Minimum Salary for Employment Pass

Post by Rani's » Fri, 17 May 2013 1:03 pm

I have heard subjectively that the minimum salary requirement, in order to obtain an employment pass, has recently been increased to S$12,000. I have been planning to employ myself within a private limited structure and therefore the salary level would need to meet this requirement. Could anyone confirm if this information is accurate, or if there are various levels applicable. Thanks.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I can see already that the news I heard was not accurate, or at least doesn't explain the full criteria.

It's possible that the $12K you heard was in relation to a PEP (personal employment pass). The amounts required for that pass are in the $12K range.
