Hey guys! I want to go to Siem Reap, but unfortunately no direct flight on these specific dates. Do u have any suggestion on where to go for 3 days' trip? Thanks in advance! :)

Have you tried Tioman? Not sure if there's availability left at this point, but it's pretty accessible and great for a quick getaway trip. There's a wide variety of resorts on offer there at a wide variety of budgets.

You can fly there from Changi or grab the ferry from Mersing. Both options are best booked in advance though.

Hey Max Headroom, thanks for your suggestion. I found an old post online. It's said that people can take a ferry to Tioman Island from Singapore World Trade Centre (HarbourFront Centre now). Is there still such a service at present?

Ah, the good old days. That service was awesome. We used to take it, direct to Tioman. Alas, it was discontinued years back.

Still, you can pop to Mersing by bus in a bout 2.5 hours. From there, it's a wee hop to Tioman.

Mind you, watch out where you go when the bus stops at the road-side stall for a break, because they're all in cahoots; the bus pax may well end up paying commission premium for their makan and mimum.

Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city both have pretty cheap direct flights.
