Try the Tekka wet market@Buffalo road...There's one specialist crab stall there which sells crabs of many varieties and sizes.. Tekka is very good for fresh seafood & meat...

Sergei, I was in NTUC @ NEX on Sunday and you are right. They had a bin of Flower crabs on ice and also a big glass tank of live flower crabs as well at a stupid price of 28.80/kg.

And the last, can you guys can help me a website to find information about size of crab? Price for each size?

What kind of crabs are you looking for? Mangrove/mud crabs (the type for Chili Crab), Hairy crabs, Flower/Blue Swimmer crabs?

You can buy them at the dock wholesellers (Senoko or Jurong Fishery Ports) but you will need to either be local or take a local with you as you will need to be able to negotiate with them. Last time I went there I bought 30 Mud crabs and paid around $147 if I remember correctly (Went there at 3:30 in the morning).

When buying crabs do not buy them within 5 days either side of a full moon as crabs normally molt on the full moon or thereabouts. Between the new moon and the week before it's full is the best time.

ironically, Cold Storage supermarket is not as good as the local brand "Sheng Shiong" supermarket (not sure if my spelling is correct.
For this sheng shiong supermarket, if you have a large supermarket near you, they usually have live crabs!

In recent years so does NTUC occasionally (at least the major ones like @ NEX). We also have a Sheng Shiong about 2 km the other direction on Serangoon Nth Ave 5 where they also carry live crabs, prawns, all the time, etc.

Yeah, but you are better off going to a crab distributer, Jim Food Supplier,(at the pool end of Serangoon Sport Centre right across the side street from the "Crab Party" restaurant) or going to wharves as noted earlier.

Try the wet markets early in the morning, especially on early morning, they usually have good deals!
