Re: EP Quota Closing for 2013 after June 30,2013 ??????????

Moving to Singapore? Ask our regular expats in Singapore questions on relocation and their experience here. Ask about banking, employment pass, insurance, visa, work permit, citizenship or immigration issues.

Hi,

I am from IT filed and planning to move to SG for new job. i have been shortlisted for some companies some weeks back and when i checked with the consultancy now they say company does not have EP quota to board me in now to Singapore.

I don't have any idea about EP processing. Is there any thing like quota for all companies in Singapore ?

Also the consultancy said SG Government is likely to close / freeze all the EP after June 30 2013 which means that all EP can be only applied for 2014.. is this true ?

Have any one come across this problems ?

No.
But if you are a low level Indian IT person, for all intents and purposes, you could say yes to all of the above, but no, there are not really any quotas.

Well, considering that prasad2kece, deleted his message in his post, it kind of shows that he would not be suitable for Singapore anyway. But he did earn the right to be banned and his account locked. That said, I've reinstated his deleted text.
