Regarding PR Formalities
Hello everyone. My pr just got approved recently and I need to make an appointment to do my pr formalities. When I login to the e appointment I realised that the appointment is fully book until 3 weeks later and I couldn't get a recent appointment. Anyone know can I just walk in to ica to queue in the early morning to get everything done? Anyone have any experience with the pr formalities? Please share with me thanks.

No, surely you need to go via the appointment system. Guess, you can book an appointment which is available now and meanwhile check if there are any vacant slots that come in early due to cancellations by some one else? Congrats !angeltan321 wrote:Hello everyone. My pr just got approved recently and I need to make an appointment to do my pr formalities. I keep checking the e appointment since last few days but there's no cancellation, so no choice have to wait 3 weeks later. I didn't predict the pr took so fast to approved (I thought will be rejected due to my background not strong) and I already plan my stuff end of this month. So I hope can be done everything asap but the early appointment slot is not available....no choice have to wait. Thank you=)))

once when I was in ICA, the counter lady was able to fit a walk-in, as she was saying there is an open slot the next day .. not the same day .singaporeflyer wrote:No, surely you need to go via the appointment system. I think the Appointment system is like hospitals here ..
3PM means, 3PM is not for you only - it maybe for a dozen others as well .. me thinks the system is to avoid over-crowding .. so another maybe accepted if walk in ..
If you are hard up, go and check directly - may work ..

To answer OP's original question, you have an option of collecting your PR card from the nearest designated post office. This option will be there when you book an eappointment for collection, 2 days after completion of your approval formalities. This gives a much earlier date (same month), than the huge wait when going to ICA. Hope this helps.angeltan321 wrote:Hello everyone.
