Friday 10th May Barkode, Little India 8pm - late

Postby littlegreenmartian » Wed, 08 May 2013 12:29 am

Hi there FNDCers,

amongst the streets and hubbub that is the chaotic bonhomie that could only come from many people going about their business, sits the startlingly cement interiors of Barkode, a mecca of cocktails and overall good drinks served with tasteful techno and the occasional crisps and nuts. After get together foodies should be thrilled by the many low key but tasty establishments that open late into the night. Little India is a treat for those looking for a grittier feel without the dangerous insouciance of a million casual drivers.

Mojitos.

venue: Barkode, 66 Dunlop St
time: 8pm - late

How to get there:
1. Take a train to Little India
2. Exit at platform E
3. You are standing outside next to a road with an intersecting street that stretches to the left. A little ways in front of you, a quaint playground of plastic origins is empty at this time of the day.
4. Turn left to head down the street, keeping Tekka Market to the right of you. Tekka Market is one of the last remaining wet markets of Singapore, specialising in lamb & beef, possibly hence the road name Buffalo Road.
5. Eventually you'll get to Serangoon Road. A pedestrian crossing is on the left of you. Cross over to the other side. The side street just before the pedestrian crossing is Dunlop Street.
6. Head down Dunlop Street. Carry on further past the intersection, where a vegetable store on the right should still be bustling at this time.
7. Eventually you'll see Prince of Wales Little India on the right, a building on the corner of the street.
8. Barkode is 15-20m on the left of Dunlop Street, close to the Zsofi tapas bar.

Yes .... that should be the case, unless there's some issues.
