Can anyone help explain what's up with the weather?
In about 3 days I haven't seen the sun once. Right now it's like night-time, as a result of a look-a-like of The Perfect Storm somewhere towards the middle of the island.
It's way way away from monsoon season, so is there any explanation for this dreadful weather?
Thx
p.s. on the bright side there's nil risk of sun-burn!

I keep forgetting when's "Indonesian Haze" season...
Anyway, I did notice that too in Singapore--you seldom see clear skies.
About sun-burn, sometimes cloud cover just diffuses UV rays. There are times when I still have to wear sunglasses even when cloudy because it hurts my eyes still.
There's still a chance for a sunburn--it's significantly reduced but it's still there.

Haze: Through the summer, and it would peak and re-peak until monsoon broke in the autumn which put out the forest fires.nakatago wrote:I keep forgetting when's "Indonesian Haze" season...

Yep agree the UV is still there, just reduced a bit, and diffused > but that is not somehow a kind of all-clear to lie out all day. Right now consciously I'm making an allowance for about 30mins a day - in the shade - by the pool, to try and let my skin slowly acclimatise again. I'd love to stay out longer considering the facilities here, but getting fried really isn't going to do me any good at all.
