Interesting! I guess, "withdrawn" record remains in iequiry forever. In any case its Feb 2011, so its as good as closed.SGlover wrote:Wd40; you said "I think you need to appeal within 6 months. Beyond that your file will be closed."
(I agree with your statement & have 1 question)
Scenario:
LTVP was taken by MOM when they issued S-Pass in early 2011.
Applied PR in Jan 2013 got rejected > PR Rejection recored was removed right after 6 months on iEnquiry.
But LTVP still in iEnquery showing that LTVP Withdrawn in Feb 2011.
Any idea when it will be removed from iEnquiry?
Many thanks.

Passes issued by MOM, would not appear in iEnquiry. iEnquiry is by ICA and not MOM.habeebhashim wrote:I had applied for a PEP in 2010 and got it approved in a month. This was the old one for 5 years. But.... listened to a bunch of wrong advice and wrote to MOM and informed I would like to withdraw the application after its approval (seems very stupid now)Wd40 wrote:

Anyway, I don't see that when I go into iEnquiry. Or is it because thats MoM and LTVP is ICA?
But ICA would have the details about your pass from MOM.

You came to Singapore at the right time. My colleague a Tamil from India came to Singapore in Aug 2008 and applied for PR within 9 months and he had his PR for his whole family by the time he completed 1 yr. But that idiot, didnt make any use of the PR, didnt buy a house, stayed here for 4 years and his salary was like 6k. The employer's contribution of CPF also came from his take home, so by the time he reached 3rd year, with 35% going to CPF, he had cash flow issues. Finally decided to give up PR and now he is in India. What a waste!
Coming back to you, are you worried regarding MoM or ICA? Are you worried about your PR application or about you getting the new EP. If it is the former, I would say, usually higher salary is always good except if the company/industry/role is not considered by ICA as strategic interest for Singapore. But then we will never know it. If I were you, I would not worry about the PR so much. I would rather worry about my career, the 8 hrs that I put in office, the higher salary and see if its worth it, if yes, I will take it.

I have set up my PR application appointment for 7th Feb. Last month I had got the appointment for Jun 26th and then I kept trying to see if slots free up, regularly last month, it never happened. Then today suddenly I saw few slots open in 1st week of Feb. I booked for 4th Feb. Then after few mins I saw 7th Feb also free, so changed it to 7th Feb, as it gives me just perfect time to get the letter from my employer.
No more changes possible now. So I am submitting on 7th Feb. I am in a "nothing to lose", kind of situation. My job here will remain until Mar 31st, after which I need to search a new one. I am on PEP and I dont think my next job will pay me as good as this one, but then you never know. I am ok to take a 10-20% dip in salary, since I will get severance pay if I stay here till the end, of about 2 months salary. Worst case, I dont get anything, I head back to Bangalore. Interesting times ahead

Thanks. Yes, it is second time. Nothing much has changed in my profile or salary since the last time I applied, which was in June 2012 and I got the rejection only last year in May.zzm9980 wrote:Good luck on both the job and PR! I know, its probably waste applying, but then, I have nothing to lose. In fact I think relatively I have a better chance applying now rather than after I lose my job. Probably I may not even be eligible to apply.

True, nobody is being any more obnoxious than those who come on here asking exactly the same question that 3 minutes of search would have turned up numerous answers to exactly the same question with exactly the same parameters. We like to help those who help themselves.
