Thinking about a career at EDB, could anyone advise?

Discuss about getting a well paid job or career advancement. Ask about salaries, expat packages, CPF & taxes for expatriate.

Thinking about a career at EDB, could anyone advise?

Post by psyrox » Tue, 30 Apr 2013 10:04 am

I got 2nd Upper Honors Degree at NUS and worked in a private firm for about 1 year. Now I am thinking of taking up a career at EDB. Could anyone advise the easiness/likelihood for me to get a job at EDB and also the pay or wellfare there.

Also my degree is Applied Math, what is the department at EDB that suits me the best. If I took a job at EDB, will it disadvantage me if I want to switch back to private sector in the future.

One of my other concerns is that my friends told me that at EDB, one can only promote up to certain level, the higher positions are reserved for their scholars. Could anyone advise what is the level of the "reserved positions", if it is at the ridiculously high level, then it is not my concern anymore.

Thanks in advance
