Furniture Moving Fit?

Post by duncanmacleod » Mon, 15 Apr 2013 5:12 am

Hi guys! Quick question - I'm moving to Singapore and am bringing a 90inch sofa. Do you think this fill fit into apartments? I've had issues in the past not being able to fit furniture into a new place - how are service elevators in Singapore? How is getting big things into apartments generally?

Thanks!

It could be difficult as the lifts are small and the stairwells are narrow with low ceilings in some complexes. You might have to hire a crane to lift it through a balcony if it wont fit otherwise. The only way to be sure is to know the flat and accesses beforehand or find yourself with a white elephant that would be too expensive to store or ship home.

my sofa is about the same size (purchased in the states) and it fit in the lift just fine. the lifts in the newer buildings are quite big/tall so you should be fine.
