I routinely bring in a few cigars stuffed somewhere tight, dark and warm and never have a problem.Hannieroo wrote:Good to know, thank you.Sergei82 wrote:They will fine you if they find it.Hannieroo wrote:Are e cigs illegal to import privately?
My inside coat pocket lah!Hannieroo wrote:I am not even going to ask where
To be fair it didn't particularly work anyway. I'll try plan B instead.
You know what they say about those old oilfield hands, right?offshoreoildude wrote:I routinely bring in a few cigars stuffed somewhere tight, dark and warm and never have a problem.Hannieroo wrote:Good to know, thank you.Sergei82 wrote: They will fine you if they find it.
The old overhead enclosed walkway from Raffles Place over the road to Clifford Pier boat/ferry jetties, was lined with kiosk-shops selling dildos and vibrators...sundaymorningstaple wrote: Most people are monogamous, but some are bisexual. But old oilfield hands are trisexual. They'll try anything!
I had a good ROTFL of this!Hannieroo wrote:I am not even going to ask where

If you have them sent via mail, then they may confiscate them at customs (your own risk) if you bring them in over the border and they find them you will be fined potentially, the risk it totally up to you if you use them.Hannieroo wrote:Good to know, thank you.Sergei82 wrote:They will fine you if they find it.Hannieroo wrote:Are e cigs illegal to import privately?
You could switch to the really nasty hand rolled things the local bums smoke. You buy them one at a time.Hannieroo wrote:They glow blue so you'd soon see them. Not worth it.
But OT but related. If there is no gum and no e cigs what does that leave you with? Lozenges or patches? I did consider patches again but unless I stick it over my mouth it's not going to work.
ONe possible law to keep in mind is that there is a limit on the number of non relative who can gather together in private - I think it's 5.singaus wrote:So I've recently been offered a teaching job in Singapore. The package is very nice, but the one concern that I and my family all have is the laws in Singapore. Singapore obviously has very strict laws. Most of them won't affect me; I am not talking about forgetting to flush the toilet, chewing gum, doing drugs, or littering.
I'm mostly worried about freedom of speech issues, specifically Singapore defamation laws and issues such as monitoring the internet for criticism. I'm fairly outspoken and I have very progressive leanings. How much of my behavior will I have to curb, what topics should I avoid (I am already aware that race, politics, religion should be avoided), and how difficult would it be to avoid them? Also, have any of you living in Singapore had any difficulties in watching what you say both in real life and on the internet that you normally would not worry about back in your home countries?
I thank you for any advice that you may have on this topic.
You can get nicotine gum in SG, but the pharmacist will hand you a clipboard with a personal-details form, and ask you to complete it. Nope, not kidding.Hannieroo wrote:They glow blue so you'd soon see them. Not worth it.
