Snowboarding travel gear

Post by Supreme » Wed, 10 Apr 2013 11:40 pm

Hello there! I'm new to this forum. Would like to ask if anyone have experienced travelling with the Burton Wheelie Gig bag? I am thinking of carrying only 1bag for my travel and stuffing all my clothes with my snowboarding gears in this bag. Would the weight be an issue with check in and moving around? Thanks!

Hi,

In terms of weight, it depends on which airline you're flying so you should check on their website. The bag itself is already 3-4 kg though and with board, bindings, boots, all the jackets and stuff it becomes pretty heavy quickly. Worst comes to worst you'll have to pay excess weight fee.

For checking in they might put it with the oversize luggage i believe. Otherwise, you just check in like normal and pick up your bag like normal.

Something to consider is if you're going to snowboard the day before you leave the resort, make sure everything is dry if you're stuffing everything into one bag.
