Taking up Singapore Citienship

Post by rgune » Wed, 10 Apr 2013 2:34 pm

Hi,
Actually we (I, my wife and son) are holding Singapore PR and I and my wife are considering taking up Singapore Citizenship while keeping PR for my 11 year old son. 1. Do ICA accept citizenship application only for a couple? 2. If yes, what are the chances of getting citienship? Anyone having similar case, got citizenship recently?
Thanks

No. They can see through your plan and reject. Unless you are applying together as a family, with your son.

And rightly so.

The ICA is really more interested in your son than you.

Unlike PR application. Citizenship is individualistic based POIA.
No, will not affect son as he is already required to serve NS under 2nd Gen PR anyway
If you have done 2 REP chances is good
