Looks like CBP Signature building floors 5 and 6 will become deserted... as well as the other floors from where Credit Suisse is already gradually moving out. Well, at least I enjoyed looking at those guys from the 5th floor (LucasArts) - sometimes you cannot tell a LucasArts employee from Chewabacca...
Unless LucasFilm and LucasArts are unrelated entities. :)

Pity. I'm afraid of that doomsday when all gaming industry falls into Korean hands: there will be nothing but hundreds of similar fantasy genre MMORPGs.

Thats sad man. No wonder the lifts in Signature building are so empty nowadays. There was hot ang moh chick working in lucas and drove a BMW. There were all kinds of characters there. One huge Ang moh bald head and a big beard, scary fellow to share the lift.

Edit: Just spoke with my colleague, he mentioned he read in another local article that only 50 people are being layed off, those that belong to gaming. The other 400 who belong to special effects will remain.

Even those 50, they are trying to accomodate them into special effects team and some may fit.

One of my friends at Lucasarts actually recognised you when we went to Muddy Murphys after the last gathering.

You are a face around the Signature Building!!

There is a post on one of the premier local news portal forums about the Lucasarts closure.

" I hope its the expat on loads of money and not locals who are losing their jobs"

So they downsize or completely close??? You know, many of those animators or whoever they are - they're not software developers, a lot of Singaporeans work in that company!

I'd probably agree, based just on the name... :P Only thing worse would be if it was "L'Fusionopolis"
