Buying a HDB resale flat together?

Post by sohb » Thu, 04 Apr 2013 1:33 am

She is a Singaporean, I am moving there from Europe - how are the rules on buying one together, would it be possible? Or does she have to be the sole owner?

Any ideas how to solve this as I would like to be a co-owner with the same ownership % as my capital contribution.

Thanks for any help and input! :))

HDB: Not possible unless you become a PR. She also needs to fulfil the rules as a Single person (over 35 yo).

Private apt: you can hold certain properties as a foreigner.

In your situation I would have a private side contract (loan or pre nup) drawn up to guarantee your contribution is recognized if you split.
Now I'm called PNGMK

You need to be a PR. Eligibility rules for resale HDB are written plain as day here:

Click on each 'scheme name' for specifics.
