I am also S-Pass holder. I was EP last year and was down-graded to S-Pass because my current salary doesn't hit the new EP's criteria.I would like to know I would have chance to get approval for PR.

Nationality : Myanmar
Industry : IT
Salary : 3.7 K
Marital Status : Single
Age : 29
Duration in SG : 5 years
Current Job Title : Snr Software Engineer

Please advise, bros and sis. Thank you all.

You lot can be very cruel and harsh.

A polite - 'you're unlikely to stand much chance' is a better way to voice your opinions.

Now I know why IT salaries are going down in Singapore. There are countless people willing to work for so less here :x

A Senior Software Engineer with 5 years experience and only get paid 3.7K is way below the norm, maybe that's why you are downgraded to S Pass. I know of a Singaporean with 3 years experience in IT and he got 5.4K/month before bonus and he is not even in a big MNC, just a local company.

Just my $0.02:

Small companies tend to pay better than big MNCs (atleast in IT). This said 3.7k is way below average.

Now that I am in the market looking for job change and I find it hard to find a company that can match my salary, I can exactly understand how the locals feel when foreigners come here and work for peanuts.

If feel so bad, imagine the locals, at least I can go back to my country.
