I would laugh but I feel sorry for everyone subjected to them.

There's a ray of hope though:

* the hawker centre across our office lets you buy just rice
* a bank manager offered to personally speed things up call me about a request I had that I needed in a hurry. And I was closing an account!
* our office is as hot inside as it is outside
