A bit like the gay issue right? Growing up, when you look at a picture of the perfect family, it is always a husband and wife, not two same sex couple. It is not easy to accept a new reality. Do you want continue in your misery of not being able to adapt or do you want to embrace humanity and open your heart to other people who are different from you. The moment I choose humanity, I know I have to apply it across the board. I can't cherry pick .

My wife is away this weekend staying with a 'gay couple'. But you're preaching 'an ideal' to which you are a stranger aren't you'; i.e. you have no gay friends.

I also have adaptibility issue. When I move 1.5 year ago, it was really tough adjusting to everything new. A very big shock to my system. I have to conquer my own battle, nobody else can do it for me.

I actually don't think how I feel and what I think is all that important. I am but only one of the many tiny minicuos creature that share this earth. I bring up my experience if I believe it is useful to the situation. I have beat this to death, time to look for a new example.

I had 2 gay friends from SG Junior College and would take us girls to the gay bar at Far East Plaza but we had to wait outside, since we did not fit the bill. Travelled in Korea with this handsome guy, a model for a major Japanese Fashion house, my ex-hairdresser whom I was going to take Ikebana flower arrangement with but I had to move on, a very close friend's brother and I would hear about the lover's tiff. And the females who tried to hit on me. You just jolt my memories on all the wonderful gay friends that I had made over the years and quite a few fall off the radar.

You make a lot of assumptions. And your know-it-all attitude and arrogant intellectualism. Perhaps it is your chatting style. Over time I don't feel incline to respond to these kind of posts. I mostly respond out of courtesy, you know.
