Hi fellow member, just wondering what people do for buying wine in Singapore. Are there particular shops or online where you can get deals on wines.
I find most Kiwi/Aussie wines that normally cost $10-15 back home cost over $40 here.
Be great to hear from forum members on where they usually buy wine from.
Thanks

go overseas, buy crates of it and have it shipped back to singapore on the same plane as you're on.
declare them upon arrival, pay the taxes, cart them home, chill, serve, enjoy!
(repeat whenever possible)

I think it's hard to get "great deals" on alcohol since there's tax/duty imposed by government. One way is to travel a bit more and bring in some wine & liquor from duty-free shops on the way back.

Don't think too hard RonnieT. You'll miss out on some good deals, if you happen to be someone who doesn't travel too much but likes wine.

Taxico's suggestion is good for low volume buying.
Would also suggest going to a wine event and getting acquainted with the sales people of the wine distributors.
These are held occasionally at some of the major malls (e.g. VivoCity).
If you buy a couple cases and give them your contact, they might keep you informed of future sales on the wines you like.
