Can I bring my Xbox into Singapore?

Post by stuarticus » Wed, 27 Feb 2013 5:55 am

Hello!

I will be coming to Singapore from the UK in about 6 weeks and was wondering if anyone has brought their Xbox in with them?

Microsoft just made it a fair bit easier with the Xbox Live region migration tool, so just wondering if anyone has any experience of bringing an Xbox into the country.

Thanks.

It will work here. The xbox's power adapter should be fine here, and you shouldn't have to worry about things like NTSC/PAL.

It is region locked, as are the local games. Quite a few video game shops sell other region games though, so that won't be a problem if you don't mind paying a small premium or ordering from Amazon.co.uk.

No idea how the region migration tool works.

Do you need to declare that you have one when entering Singapore?

I've brought in consoles before and never declared them. Just walk straight through and never had a problem.

Did you declare the actual games?

As long as they're non-counterfeit, you should be good.
