I'd say 10 for, 90 against.

Come on, OP... do you realize how nonsensical this question is, especially since you have provided absolutely no information about yourself?

Scene 1: Senior VP of a major multi-national bank has been in Singapore for 2 years and has just been promoted to MD. Married, active in multiple organizations. She applies for PR. Chances of getting it are about 100 percent.

Scene 2: Hardworking tech from the subcontinent has been here two years, earning $2500 per month on a S-Pass and living dormitory style with 5 others. No college education. Single. Not integrated into the community. Chances of getting a PR are about 0 percent.

I calculate the probability at 0.1213945 (approximately).

While we're about it, what do you reckon are the chances for a win on Saturday? :P

p.s. I just saw this other thread for the first time - hilarious! Can we resurrect it (or this one) on Friday?

Really? I'd give that scenario lower than 80%. Now, if she was married to a Singaporean Chinese (whose parents are still alive) with one or two sons born in-country, then, the odds may go up to 100%. Oh wait, at that point, she'd better be of Chinese descent with no living parents. :D
