Ethy88 is promoting her or his learning centre on this board. You don't see it because we are promoting at the same time a spam free forum.

so... correct me if I'm wrong. I should basically learn to mispronounce my mother tongue, and say "eh" or "lah" every three words?
Having said that, I'm game, I have done silly things all my life!
Who? What? How? Why? Where? When? Merde...

The only thing I cannot grasp is that Singaporean-Mandarin intonation of English: when each syllable goes up or down instead of plain English speach. When I first came here and heard somebody speak that English, I thought the guy is a patient in mental clinic, although his English was seemingly correct (at least that portion he pronounced)... only later I understood it is their accent.
Can anyone teach me to speak like that? I will scare my friends!

The most incomprehensible phrase, to new comers, is when a Singaporean says "I meet you at the Ca Pa"
