Locally you're correct, both the supply and demand is strong for this combination. I was speaking more broadly though, based on experiences back in the US. For interracial relationships, White male/Asian female was the most common.

I'm guessing the biggest White Male fantasy is a small, young nubile girl with a subservient nature (not saying this is, in any way, the case) with exotic features. Asian, for the average WM would be the epitome of that fantasy I would think.

The average female fantasy, could it be the (theoretically speaking) the Alpha Black male. Again, I'm going back to primordial days where the alpha male controls the heard and the females would try to procreate with the strongest to ensure their bloodlines continue? Recessive genes may play a part in this? The reverse pairings, while they do exist, are much smaller and probably have more to do with social happenstance than anything fantasy oriented. Again, I really don't have a clue.

Rarely do either sex act upon the fantasies but I think maybe these might be the two biggest and therefore have a bigger "following". I really don't know.

I'm married to an Indian (which isn't the typical Asian East-West marriage as most are Oriental/Caucasian couplings) but there were never any fantasies with Asian girls that I can remember. In fact, having been married several times before, they were as WASPish as you could get. I really don't know. Determined to break the mold?

According to OP and wd40 for the last 6 years of my living in Asia I should have been dating only Ukrainians. Surprisingly, all of them (including current one) were Asians (Mongoloid type) with one exception for Russian and another one for African.
Other thing, OP, if you give any shit about what all people around think about your couple, you better break up right now! There is no way you can make everybody liking you, no matter whether she is Asian or not! Looks like there is some complex of superiority in here…

Yes, this is the interesting part. I am pretty agreeable with both Zzm's and Brah's explanations but I really think the Caucasian female (WF) part is much less obvious and intriguing. I am not sure about the fantasies but an alpha male dream may be a part of it. If this was only supply and demand factor then WF-L(ocal)M couples should be more common what is not the case.

What I was initially thinking of (and still think is important) was the cultural factor. I believe the local societies are much more patriarchal comparing to the modern, Western ones. This makes WM more attractive to the local females (LF) - it takes two to tango. For the WFs it is just opposite and for exactly the same reason.

My wife and I get stared at because I am caucasian and she is filipina. Most I think are trying to figure out if she is the maid or the wife!

When my 22 year old daughter came over from the UK and we went out as a family with my wife and two year old daughter some looked very confused trying to work out the relationship between all of us.
