Donations where?

I have a friend who has on hand some Teddy-bears, children toys, games etc... where can we donate/distribute such items in Singapore? Can we donate directly to the children (rather than to Charities)?

From all the ads around.. seems that Sg-Charities are 'rich' already! =)

They only take things that are in good working condition and order

Of course they take in only working items! Even the rag-and-bone man won't take spoilt items.

Get the list of orphanages in Singapore and send to them. Also Singapore Children's Society, Red Cross, Look up East timor on the internet and send to organisations doing work for them. Singapore International Foundation. Lots of orphanages in Malaysia need toys. Can you give me your email add, i know one children's home in Malaysia which could do with them.

Yep, Singapore charities ARE rich already and the children are unappreciative, they only want brand new and expensive stuff.

Can we vonlunteer to help in those organization? If yes, which one need ppl (labour) the most? I called one of the xxx org the other day.. they are more interested in me contributing Money first!!!
