I'm pregnant and have a difficult boss

Post by c0c0miami » Sun, 03 Feb 2013 7:55 am

I am in the mid of second trimester. This pregnancy has been difficult and I have been suffering from nausea, leg cramps, back pain, bleeding, constipation and exhaustion. However, I can't sleep at night due to the stress from my boss. He is an expat without kids and has been micro managing me ever since I informed him that I am pregnant.

My bank is a big bank with good employment policy. However, once my boss learnt that I am pregnant, he became a super jealous boss and has been stressing me with additional sales target directed at me, constant tracking of my every movement and demand to report on delivering sales target. He also removed all the good clients from my portfolio and replaced them with unfavorable clients.

I can't cope and the stress is giving me skin problem and making me lose sleep. I want to resign but I felt that this is unfair. I don't know what to do.

If it is a big bank then they will have good policies in place against workplace discrimination. Complain to your HR, that is what they are for. Don't be afraid, such bosses should be taught a lesson.

Yes, sounds to me like he's trying to get out trying to hold a position for you while you're on leave. Bring your HR in - not OK. Even in Sing, that's not OK.
