Need advice on a smart way to look for a job

Post by nayoung.mathiesen » Wed, 30 Jan 2013 6:58 pm

Newly arrived as a spouse of an expat, I would very much like to work part or full-time. Although I believe I am qualified to do many things, I have not gone a single track and most headhunters may find it hard to place me since they are used to working in a very branch/industry specific way.

Native Korean but I have lived and worked professionally in Korea, USA and in Norway and speak all languages fluently. I am currently studying Mandarin. Originally trained and worked as a CPA in New York, however since then, I've worked in many different industries in various roles including running my own businesses - international trade, F&B/consumer goods, retail, government relations(lobbying), etc.

Are there country specific head hunters as well? Any well informed comments and advice will be appreciated.

Well by their definition, headhunters usually hunt you, not the other way round. Obviously you'll want to be on their radar, so if I were in your situation I'd start here.
Be careful what you wish for
