SLT has a great bunch of B2B shops... instruments, controls, lights, motors, controllers... really a haven for the electrically inclined trying to build all kinds of shit. Also have a great store that still sells and repairs tube amplifiers... I've always been treated well.

OTOH, never been to the audio stores, so I don't know.

The nature of SLT as you have stated is what you say... it's B2B so the few consumer type stores there have a weird feel about them.

On the other hand, if you are feeling brave and want to reciprocate, give them a mouthful back! They won't like that! (especially if you tell them their mom is not very good in bed)
