Hi, I will be moving to Singapore in the next few months from Australia.
I have some medical conditions that require me to take daily medication. I am trying to find out how much each of my prescription medication costs so that I can compare the costs to what it costs me in Australia. Can anyone suggest how I could find out these costs?
Thanks

Cost of prescription medication in Singapore
unless your medicines are heavily subsidised by the kangaroo government, i have found that buying common prescription medicines to be cheaper in singapore.
so unless you have a pension card or concession card of some sort, get your medicine in singapore. oh, and condoms are cheaper in australia than it is here.

Thanks for the quick answers do u guys or anyone else know how I can find out the costs of my medication online or by contacting someone to find out. I need to know to see if it worth taking out extra coverage of health insurance to cover these costs. Health insurance in Singapore is much more expensive than in Australia

Most perscription medication in Singapore is sold by the GP in the clinic itself except for some commonly prescribed stuff like BP medication. Prices are not exactly fixed. IF you PM me your medication name and brand I'll ring my GP and ask the prices.ZiaGG wrote:Thanks for the quick answers do u guys or anyone else know how I can find out the costs of my medication online or by contacting someone to find out. Re: Cost of prescription medication in Singapore
Crestor costs 4x here in Singapore. And I am sure most prescription medicine are more costly here than in Australia.
I take Crestor 10 mg. and it is about A$20 for a month's supply in Australia ( not subsidised but as a private patient). Here in Spore hospitals and pharmacies, it is about S$80
