Student Pass Lost

Post by Athame » Wed, 23 Jan 2013 6:04 pm

Hello Everyone!
I've been so exciting!
Past 6 years, in 2006 I' studied in Singapore with Student Pass. But I returned to my home country before the course finish ( the course is 1 and half years and I return in one year) because of my family matters. And I brought the Student Pass along because I've expected I would go back to study. But things changed. And I didn't surrender my Student Pass because I think I'll never return to Singapore.
But now, after all these years, I've been working in my home country and now my employer wants me to study in Singapore again.
So, is it possible for me to get a new student pass or I have no chance at all. If I have no chance at all, I'll not apply for school. If it is not a big offense and ICA would let me get a new student in some way, I'll apply for school and apply student pass.

I have no other offenses but only I didn't surrender my student pass and cancel in School.

Please I need advices urgent. Help me!

Why does your employer want you to study here?

Dear offshoreoildude : One of the School Agent saw it as an issue and told me that if I hadn't surrender my student pass from my last stay, i would not be possible to get a student pass again. I also don't believe the agent said. I think I can try again. It is possible, right??

Dear Saint : My employer just want me to get another professional certification to promote me. He also will sponsor me for my education and living expense. I want to try Singapore because I think I will have no problem living and studying in Singapore rather than other country. If it is not possible to get student pass in Singapore, I will try other countries. Thank for your interest. Please help try to answer my doubts also.

Also I found some ICA rules said it is an offense, not to surrender my student pass and officially cancel my course at the school. I didn't finish my school also means I did not get 90% attendance.

When i was a student i did not return my SP either.
Returned to Singapore and got a EP, never returned the physical card either.

Dont worry about it.

P.S. also ICA would not have access to attendance records of your school as long as they did not declare you abscoding!

Dear Athame,

You need to contact the following authorities for help and not your school agent, because your school agent is not neutral, in fact, your school agent works on a commission basis.

Please do contact the Council for Private Education and ICA and tell them the truth.

The most honest you are, the better it will be, rather than you omit certain details and get caught later, as lies are not taken too kindly too here.

Tell both ICA and CPE the truth and also share with them what your school agent has told you. This way, you get to protect yourself best.
