If you watch docos about Singapore from the 60's and 50's and 40's the women were a lot slimmer and happier looking.
Probably. Too much fast food now. Goes right to the legs. Looks even worse with those ridiculous denim shorts that get pulled up halfway over the stomach with a tshirt tucked in.
Well no one's addressed the elephant in the room so I will - another reason may be because more and more women don't want anything to do with men.
Never, including in Greenwich Village, have I seen more normal-looking women with women who try desperately and unsuccessfully to look remotely like at best an effeminate man, with those strange chunky brownish de rigueur haircuts.
It's not a criticism just an observation.
I'd guess repression had something to do with the vast numbers here.
For the straight women, the puffed-up attitudes for no apparent reason and mediocre looks were always a deterrent for me. But I am spoiled from where I came from.

And I see more and more men in SG trying to look like women. Something wrong is going on here...

Yes, Singapore is an exceptionally gay country. In fact I can't think of a more gay city/country.

Is this to be a claim for another top spot?

3+ years ago when I just came to Singapore and went to MOM to receive my card, there was a Malay guy in staff - smiling a lot and circling around me. He gave me his business card. After harsh reality of Seoul I was surprised by friendliness of local people... until he started smsing me something like "Did you ever f##k a guy?" Since I never had such a happy moment in my entire life and did not wish to have it ever in the future, I stopped communication. He was still asking "I'm sorry. Let us just be friends."
DISGUSTING!!! I just stepped into Singapore!

They got some way to trying this with the SDU*

* I see they changed the name from SDU to SDN. Perhaps because 'Unit' sounds a little 3rd Reich. Oh and they probably didn't like it's nick-name either 'Sad, Desperate and Ugly'.

Then it will probably 'Sad, Desperate and Naughty'
Nothing against them. I'm just playing along with the logic of hilarious acronyms.

Interesting. But, Do you know the time frame for that 7 million? It may well be 2030. But then if it is such a long time frame then why dbs is saying that construction, transport etc shares will go up, nobody does equity analysis for such a long term. Also foreigner inflow is indeed slowing down. So indeed there is a big goof up somewhere.

The truth is they need to import spouses and start having hybrids. Encouraging this is easy. Give your foreign spouse instant citizenship upon a child's birth. For the men, just start importing females from neighboring countries. They already do as much with PRC and Vietnamese. A lot of the girls from Indonesia clean up nicely too, government can sponsor make-over sessions.
For the girls, it's a bit harder, especially for the homely ones. But even that isn't too hard to surmount, nothing a little case of yellow fever can't resolve! Singapore will just need to recruit nerdy white boys living back in the States. The way? Recruit from inside of video games. Anyone here (come on, I know some of you have) who has ever played an online game know that there is nothing more of a siren's call than an unseen female voice chatting with nine guys during a video game. (World of Warcraft, COD, xbox anything, you name it). Even more so once she says she is Asian. She can be pimply, 1.6m and 100kg and she will take a white boy's virginity every night. What to do with the white boys when they're here? Not sure on that one. I guess they'll need someone to replace all of the Indians in IT who aren't going to get their EPs and REPs renewed.
