Singapore Citizenship Chance for Indonesian
Singapore Citizenship Chance for Indonesian
Hi,
I would like to seek for expert here about my chance to get Singapore Citizen
Profile:
Race: Chinese
Nationality: Indonesia
Age: 31
no kids
wife also PR (not applied due less 2yrs of PR and married)
Has been applied citizen around early oct 2012, and still "pending" at the moment.
I would like to ask, how is my chance to get SC? Some people said that "Pending" is a good sign, then what is bad sign than "Rejected"?
Please advice.

Yes, I am indo chinese. Understand if other indo is not preferred.offshoreoildude wrote:Indos are not flavour of the month - but not as bad as Paki/Indians. If your Chinky Indo that will help.
I still confuse about "Pending" status, some of thread said that "Pending" is a good sign, is there any option between "Pending" or "Approved"/"Rejected"?
As for ICA more flavor to approved if someone REP has renew, its not make sense to me since they stated 2 years above is eligible to apply, unless they want to collect more money from applicant only.
Actually I dont have anything to do now except wait and wait, but everyday is really killing to me. I check the website like every hour to hope that miracle will happened, even I dunno if it shows "Rejected" what will be next I can do.

Get a hobby then. Play a video game or write a novel. Much better than agonizing over speculation.gippy wrote: Actually I dont have anything to do now except wait and wait, but everyday is really killing to me. "A quokka is what would happen if there was an anime about kangaroos."
As far as I know, from a couple of Indonesians who tried to apply for citizenship, pending means pending. It doesn't mean that pending is a good/bad sign, despite the flavor. Even if your application is rejected (touch wood for that), surely you won't rely only on this "weapon", yes?gippy wrote:Yes, I am indo chinese. "Budget Expat"
What "weapon"? Frankly, I want to buy hdb, due resale hdb is really another killing me. If ICA want to have boy to serve NS later, please..how to survive if you without house? Rental is taken most of monthly spending.v4jr4 wrote:As far as I know, from a couple of Indonesians who tried to apply for citizenship, pending means pending. I think I have already have local "feeling" isn't it? Here and there also susah..

Means "prepare for the worst". You'll need some backup plans in case they reject your application (touch wood again). And yes, it sucks. But that's the way it is.gippy wrote:What "weapon"? You're here for five years and are a good/acceptable enough PR to get to keep your REP, you're likely to be approved for citizenship. There are dozens of threads on this.gippy wrote:hi, is it renewal REP will be significant? Or actually is about residency period? Cos to me, if ICA will not renew our REP, thats it no question to ask. Back for good will the best option.zzm9980 wrote:Low. You should wait until you both have your first REP for the PR before applying.
Judging by your question and posts, I think you're worrying and reading all into this too much.

I will recommend COD-Black Ops2 / uncharted 3 / Assassin's Creed 3.nakatago wrote:Get a hobby then. Play a video game or write a novel.
