Recommendation for a GREAT chiropractor
Recommendation for a GREAT chiropractor
I have been to 3 different chiropractors over the years while I lived in the US. As an expat in Singapore, I have just started my search for a chiropractor here and have been quite disappointed so far.
I went here for the initial exam and paid the $50 first time consultation fee. The entire time, I felt as if I was going through a sales presentation. I was told that I needed to go get X-rays as it had been over 2 years since my last X-ray. This was fine. But then I was told that when I returned with my X-ray that I should be ready to make a decision so that I could receive treatment immediately.
The doctor then preceded to ask whether I was able to make financial decisions on my own. I said sure. Of course, I will consult with my husband on anything major. She then told me that he needed to join me when I returned with my X-rays. Since my husband works on the other side of town, it was impossible and unreasonable to require that he join me. I can simply make a phone call or discuss with him at home.
I was appalled when she told me that we couldn't move forward unless my husband was there. Immediately, I saw red flags everywhere. I asked her to confirm that they wanted me to make a large financial decision (potentially thousands of dollars depending on the treatment) and that I couldn't go home to think about it one night and discuss with my husband. She apologized and said they couldn't see me unless my husband was there or unless I could make a decision alone.
They were preparing for was the close of the sale. I also found out they only do adjustments and nothing else. They don't offer any pre-adjustment warm ups, such as ultrasound, heat therapy or exercises that warm up the soft tissues first.
As this place is next to my office, I was really hoping it would work out. I am completely surprised as I see many people in their office everyday when I walk by. The sad thing is, I am already SOLD on chiropractic care. I know what I want. I'm just looking for a good doctor that shares my beliefs and cares about my well being. They don't have to spend time on the sales pitch with me. It didn't take me long to realize that Full Potential Chiropractic was not for me and I would NOT recommend it to anyone else.
PLEASE let me know if you have a good or better yet a GREAT chiropractor that you can refer.
Thank you in advance for your referrals!

I used a good Osteopath at the Podiarty and Osteopathy centre in Forum. I went to Neelam and she's very good http://www.osteopathy-podiatry.com/oste ... paths.html

Re: Recommendation for a GREAT chiropractor
Go to Dr Theo from light chiropractic http://www.lightchiropractic.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have been seeing him for years for various conditions like neck pain, back pain even a jaw problem once.
When he is not around sometimes I go to a doctor a Park Mall, I forgot the name of the clinic but his name is Dr Kelvin nice guy also
Both the practices that I go to do not push any big packages on me and try to sell me on Chiropractic. Some people have complained about that in Singapore so its better to do your research and see what the clinic is about.

Re: Recommendation for a GREAT chiropractor
Sorry to hear that. My chiropractor is good. His skill and knowledge is best in town. Dr. John owns his clinic here. Asia One Chiropractic. I recommend Dr. John.

Three posts only, all three advertising a specific chiropractor. Sounds like advertising to me. I reckon this will be the last time we see Dennis pumping this doctor. Right Dennis?
