Just realised, that I have had my Cashcard stolen from my car four times in the last year. Yes, and I know I should be more vigilant about the locking of my car but the locks do not always work well on old vans. And twice I was standing close to the car when it happened. And no it was not in Little India or Geylang. The Places have been Katong, Changi Village (Private Carpark), St Patricks and Mountbatten. All rather respectable places.

The ten years prior to this I have only one stolen and that was by a neighbour's child who wanted to buy ice-cream.......

You should try riding a motorbike... I lose them every week - I now only keep a tiny amount of money (usually under $2) on them. I have a bunch in my car that I rotate with my bike one so I always have a low balance one available. Bloody 7-11 won't top up for less than $5 tho.

(That's a sad story about the kid stealing yours.... I'm sure the damn things encourage petty theft).

The only odd times I need to go to city on weekends and that too only in places like Orchard or Suntec City entrance, I need to pay ERP. I have this POSB everyday card that acts like a debit card, credit card, Ez Link card as well as Cash card. I use it. It will be big loss and a nuisance, if I were to lose that card though.

That's like losing an NRIC...
