home exchange

Post by daytripper65 » Thu, 27 Dec 2012 5:45 am

Hi,

A friend of mine is an active home swapper who recently put me in touch with a couple who are coming to singapore for 4 nights and looking for an exchange. They have a place in a prime San Francisco location, but too small for our family to use. We will host them if they don't find an exchange, which they prefer, so I am posting their situation here, in case anyone is interested, please reply to me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My husband and I would love to find a convenient nice and clean flat or private room with bath in a shared arrangement starting January 30 (late arrival from SFO) for 4 nights.

We are both well travelled, newly retired professionals and have lived 4 years in Asia with many business trips to Malaysia. We are low/no maintenance, very clean and considerate of our surroundings. We believe in leaving no footprints in our hosts home. We have done several exchanges last year: Moorea, French Polynesia (ocean front large home) and a flat in Cannes,France.
All exchanges were nice experiences and we are now exploring future options.

.Our ship leaves Feb. 3rd, so we would leave by noon or possibly a little earlier.

We can offer our immaculate flat in a Tudor style 3 flat building in one of the most prestigious locations in central SFO. The neighborhood is Presidio Heights, address Is Clay Street at Arguello Blvd. The flat is available some parts of the year in its entirety for a non simultaneous exchange or, for short stays, our (very small) guestroom with private bath is easily available with some notice.

They can try hospitalityclub.org, couchsurfing.com, SERVAS (an older offline-organisation of the same mold) or various others to be found by googling.

Couchsurfing as it's name suggests is aimed at an age/income-group who would happily sleep free of charge on a couch. You know like 20-somethings just starting out.

It is a great suggestion for that demographic, but perhaps not this one.

[Please don't take that wrongly Beppi, just not everyone will know this!]
