It will really depend on your level of experience and education. I would suggest checking out jobstreet.com and jobs.db website, look at the recruitment agencies that are filling lots of positions in your field and then approach them directly.

Having said that, I think the easiest way to find a role is to get a transfer with your current organisation if you can manage it.

Also, what's your timing? THings will be a little quiet over christmas and then again around CHinese New Year (Feb 10th) so after that might be a good time to look.

All the best with the job hunt

if you have a dependents pass you are not allowed to work in Singapore. You will need to apply a work permit or, if you are eligible, upgrade the pass to an LTVP+ pass

if you can get the + pass then you only need to get the potential employer to write a Letter of Consent (LOC) and you can find a job. + holders have the advantage of not counting towards quotas or levies in any field.

This is patently NOT CORRECT.

A dependent's pass holder (DP) can work by apply for a Letter of Consent (LOC). This has been in place for many, many years. In fact, many DP's have formed their own company and applied for LOC so they could work free lance.

There is no "Upgrade" from DP to a LTVP+. They are two completely separate items. DP's are granted to the spouses of EP's. LTVP+ are relatively new and are granted to the spouses of PR's. One is granted by MOM (the DP), the other by the ICA (LTVP+).

yes this is true, my apologies, I hold the LTVP+, I thought the dependents pass was the same thing (minus the +)

I have learnt something !
