self-employment at home

Post by courtrod » Wed, 19 Dec 2012 12:15 am

I would like to teach music lessons, either privately in my home or in the student's home. Can anyone give me advice as to how to legally do this? I am currently on a tourist visa.

If you are here on a tourist visa, you are apparently living somewhere illegally for a start as you cannot rent (unless you own a condo that is). Having said that, you cannot work on a tourist visa. Google ACRA on how to set up a business and MOM for the requisite work passes.
