as long as you regularly teach more than a certain number of students, you will need to register as a private school with MOE (not the same as a private school that confers diplomas - this requires a high level of commitment and substantial investments to qualify for CPE registration).3Dtrainer wrote:...I'm planing start my own workshop in singapore in weekends so the students can visit me and participate in workshop, to see and to learn and to practice.
Could you please: Advice How can I start my own workshop in singapore?
what do I need ?
-business License
-Place to rent (ofcourse) meeting room,
-Hardware and software (my own)
the workshop or Private home tuition (one-one) is for small group of 5-6 students. the basic courses are Free and advance course are with Fee.
i wouldn't worry so much about a "license" since it doesn't seem to appear that graphic design is considered under MOE's purview, and i guess since you're offering instruction for free, it shouldn't matter BUT i would think it's important you check what you're allowed/not allowed to do on a tourist visa.3Dtrainer wrote:...I got alot of request if I can have the workshop ( weekends classes) so the student can join this training workshops.
but I wouldn't go for business and marketing at the first stage , but I love to follow country rules to stay away from troubles.
...normally I do home tuition but instead of going to peoples home I prefer have a nice office so they students can attend the training.
...My concern about the license, its workshop and only 2 days in 2 weeks.
the rest of the days I'll be in adelaide , south australia.
Regarding visa: Australian citizen on arrival visa (60 day I think)
Regarding Office: Regus office
Regarding license: I dont know, you know better.
The wording is quite ambiguous isn't it? I would have taken it to mean any one of these:sundaymorningstaple wrote:I'm not sure how you figure a course/seminar on digital imaging falls into " religion, race or community, cause, or political end". Do YOU see a connection?
