Extention of SVP
Extention of SVP
Dear All,
My boyfriend and I will have our ROM on 12 Dec 2012. I am on Social Visit Pass now and must exit Singapore before 16 Dec. I am SPR holder.
I am thinking of extending my SVP for another 30 days. Understand that I can do this using ICA eXtend online. I used this online service few months back for my SVP extention, but it was rejected.
Will it be better for me to apply for up to 89days SVP extention after our ROM? or shall I do it now for 30days extention? I would greatly appreciate for your advice. Thank you.

It's doubtful, if you are on an SVP and eXtend has already been rejected once, that ICA will give you any extension at all. Feel free to try though.....ShaWen wrote:Dear All,

The above statement makes absolutely zero sense. You are either on an SVP or your are a Singapore PR. Which is it?

Without knowing her country of origin, I wouldn't hazard a guess. But if she is a Filippino or from the PRC/Vietnam, she may well have a problem.
Also, we don't know if she has ever worked here on a WP or not, and if she did, did they timely file for permission to marry from the MOM. If they marry and she was previously a WP holder and they don't get permission, she will be banished from Singapore for anywhere from 7 to 10 years. Hopefully they will have done their homework.

Dear All,
Sorry, my boyfriend has the SPR. I am on SVP.
I have never worked or holding work permit in Singapore.
We are Indonesian Chinese.
We have checked with ICA yesterday. It seems that I will have to do the extention after the ROM on 12 Dec providing we have the marriage certificate on the day. Our plan is to apply for extention on SVP first then LTVP.
Appreciate for your advice on our approach.
Thank you.

The marriage cert is issued on the day of ROM - heck, the ROM is to sign the Cert, with the witnesses - and with the Solemniser's words, you are married ..x9200 wrote:Besides, they are going to be married on 12th, the visa expires on 16th. I strongly doubt it is doable technically at least on-line. Not sure if they will get the marriage certificate on that very day too.

And how many times have you been there with your bar girls?ecureilx wrote:The marriage cert is issued on the day of ROM - heck, the ROM is to sign the Cert, with the witnesses - and with the Solemniser's words, you are married ..x9200 wrote:Besides, they are going to be married on 12th, the visa expires on 16th.
