Travelling to Shanghai this month for a holiday...any 'must see/do' suggestions from those who have been there?

Not sure what is your kind of thing but Shanghai attracts people for the 'old city vibe'. You can check out the museums, Shanghai Bund, Pudeng Tower and the latest Shanghai IFC Tower (probably among the world's tallest).

And shopping.

Unfortunately I didn't get good experience for food despite of what everybody else has been raving about. If you're able, do your homework in Lonely Planet or Trip Advisor websites to find out.

If I were you, I'd travel a bit to Wuxi and Suzhou (or even Nanjing) for more interesting views and historical sites.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the suggestions...especially regarding the side-trips; I'll check those out!
